It’s from the Lead Response Management Study by James Oldroyd, Ph.D., first published in Harvard Business Review in 2011 and replicated every year since. It compares conversion rates across millions of inbound leads grouped by time-to-first-reply. Our calculator maps your current reply band to a conservative lift — the real-world numbers tend to be higher.
